The traditional stereotype of Jews is that they are skilled arguers or debaters (hence the saying "two Jews three opinions") however I don't think that had anything to do with the guy you dealt with, he sounds more like someone who is generally conceited/used to getting things his way, people like that transcend religion/race/whatever other method of grouping you choose. As to general anti-semitism that is rooted in a lot of things jealousy from success, Christ killers and general religious intolerance, and the international Jewish conspiracy being some of the most common.

While I personally have encountered a certain personality type seemingly unique among some Jewish people that I can only describe as 'irksome', I'd say that the VAST majority of stereotypes are just silly and the vast majority of Jews I have known have been great people.
I'd say that most stereotypes have enough truth to them to enable them to stick around for as long as they have.
For instance, if you tried claiming that Asians are bad at math, blacks don't make good sprinters or Kenyans don't have good endurance, such stereotypes wouldn't stick around since they're totally inaccurate.
The modern trend is to try to instantly dispute stereotypes without even considering their validitiy due to the politically correct conditioning they've received.

I've only known two jewish people to the point where I could judge them. One is my friend's girlfriend. She is annoying and weird, she always follows her bf around, and she nags all the frickin time. The other one is my annoying 60 year old coworker. I've posted numerous threads on this guy. Just do a search and you'll know why me and everyone else in our office hates this guy. He's an old annoying man who nags and bitches about anything and everything.

Middle Easterners want to exterminate Israel, which is somewhat associated with a Jewish population. Why does your friend still date her? If she was annoying and wierd I wouldnt date her. Is she hot? And believe me I work with people in their 60s +. One retired on Friday, sweetest woman you could know who happened to be 75. The other is single and batty. She is always looking to pick a fight even when shes trying to be nice, insits on being 1mm in front of your face when speaking to you and wears very strong perfumes to attract attention, despite memos to the contrary. I have to wave around an airwick when she passes by just to breathe.
And shes just not even Jewish.
Just cuz we killed that feisty jew named Jesus?... Whats the big deal? Why doesnt everyone hate the italians... they're the ones that speared the poor bastard...

I'm questioning the correlation, not the fact that some people don't like them. I've known lots of stubborn people of various ethnicity. What does your story have to do with being Jewish?
