This is what I decided on....
$350
$20- a dozen of helium balloons (to fill the trunk of my car, with the above gift.. then have her open it)
$20- ice skating for two
$40- dining for two at a semi fancy restaurant
_________
$430.... grand total...
for our 2 yr anniv.
[edit]
more detailed update for those of you with creative suggestions
1. thinking I'm spending too much?
hells yea,
however our 2 year anniversary is a day apart from her bday, so this will work as a combo gift!
2. for those who said to get roses delievered in public:
been there done that. remember we've been together for 2 years, I got roses wayyy too many times.
3. why don't you spend ~$100 on a fancy dinner instead?
been there done that. I spent $160 @ baytower for our 1 year anniv. We'd rather spend less @ chinatown and stuff our faces til we can't eat! (she LOVES to eat)
4. ditch iceskating
no this holds a strong sentimental value, our 1st official date was at boston common, ice skating.
