Just a shot in the dark, but are you using a properly patched DSDT file using the latest patcher?

Using DSDTs built by others can be problematic. The DSDT ideally needs to be derived from your specific setup and BIOS version.

I'm not sure if you're familiar with KakeWalk but here is how it goes:
Download .zip /extract
Run KakeWalk
Asks for InstallESD.dmg (lion image)
then asks what motherboard and USB drive
then hit go!

You should be able to boot from the usb drive run the Lion install boot into the OS then run the post KakeWalk installer to install Chameleon ect...

I think I know what the issue is: old bios version
I just checked and im at f7 while the latest is f11

I'm going to have to find a windows machine to extract the .exe file and update the bios... That may be a good reason to go into work tomorrow 😉

Thanks for the link. I'm going to look in to it

I know what KakeWalk is.🙂 The point I'm getting at is that unless the DSDT you're using was created from your mobo's original DSDT, then it may not match up with the specific attributes of your mobo. Usually it shouldn't be an issue, but it can be. The fact that BIOS versions play a part like what you're seeing is a good example of that.

Ah okay. I'll have to look into it.

Thanks again!

The problem was not letting Kakewalk installer do the .dmg restore to the drive. After I did that everything worked out.

Thanks!
