I've never been this unexcited to get a new computer.

The computer I ordered from Dell  is going to be delivered tomorrow and I really couldn't care less. I think I would have been happier if I had spent the $1800 (which includes a monitor) on a new set of golf clubs and a vacation. :(

EDIT: and maybe a hooker

UPDATE: I take back everything I said. The computer handles everything I throw at it with such ease.

A 2.8 GHz P4. It's about 40 months old. I use it for web surfing, some gaming, Excel, Maple, etc.

That's hardly old and worth spending $1800 on to replace. You defenitely should've bought something else.

About what I'm using. Had it since high school and it's still going strong.

LOL, I built my "gaming rig" PC in 2003 with a Athlon 3200+, Raptor 74 and a gig of generic RAM and haven't touched it since. Runs fine and can still play any game I'd care to with the 6800GT I got running in it.

Don't get me wrong though, if I had the money to spend, I'd be upgrading or replacing my PC's all the time.

What can you do with the new computer that you couldn't do with the old one? Getting a new one simply because it's "old" isn't a good idea, and yours wasn't exactly old.

Indeed. Aside from maybe Maple (what is it?) I can pretty much do everything that he mentioned on my 1.4Ghz Thunderbird.

I'll tell the UPS guy to deliver it to you.
