I've narrowed it down to 2 mobos:

ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

or

ASUS A8N-E Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

I have a GeForce 6600 GT OC, so I might want to go the SLI route later on, I'm just not sure. But does anyone know about the SLI version of this board? I heard in one review it had 5.1 audio integrated into it. Do both of these boards have 5.1 audio integrated? I don't see it anywhere in the specs.

Does anyone have any last minute suggestions? I'm going to be getting an AMD Athlon 64 3200+, so what board would be best for that?

well, i wouldnt go for the sli. becuase you need identical cards to run it that would make you stuck with getting another 6600gt. by then there will be next gen cards that will blow away 2 6600gts, just like the a single 6800U does. also, ive been hearing about nothing from problems from the sli owners about getting their system up and running. go for the a8n-e.

well, ive assumed you've looked at other boards, and those two are your final choices. you definately want the a8n-e over the a8n-sli. instead of going sli, just upgrade your card. it will be much cheaper and better performing.

A8N-e, but wait about 1-2 weeks for the A8N-E Premium Edition, ASUS says it's coming soon. It'll come with firewire (which the A8N-E doesn't have) and more accessories.
Yeah SLi isn't really worth it. Get a single 6800GT and you should be fine - or wait for the 7800 to come out (I beleive next month it'll come out, don't quote me on this though)

DFI makes better Athlon 64 boards than Asus.

If you plan on using SLI, get the sli board, if not, then dont.

if your looking for features though with fire wire ect and don't want to wait then you might want to go with gigabyte...they make good solid bang for your buck boards...

If your OC'ing though i'd go with the DFI board...

MSI or DFI are your friends. Asus' boards have been declining in quality recently. The DFI Lanparty is excellent for overclocking, and the MSI Neo-4 Platinum has LOTS of great features onboard. Oh, and DON'T GET SLI! SLI = T3H SUX0RZ!
