You're ram is too expensive(at least from newegg). Good ram can be found for less than $50 easily(and sometimes less than $40).

Go with the Samsung 20x burner.

What do you intend to use the PC for? For example, the 8600GT is going to be underpowered for gaming, but not for other tasks. Also, what monitor are you intending to use this with?

The ram is $49 after rebate. I'm basically just building myself a new system, I haven't had one in yrs. Just your basic stuff, light gaming, and some ocing. I have a !7" Viewsonic right now and this is just kind of a starter system. I'll be upgrading CPU and video later on. I'm also not locked into the Egg, I know there arre better prices, I just started there and the list is easy to check.

Thanks PurdueRy, I hadn't checked the ram at Buy.com yet. I'm not locked into buying from the Egg, just put a basic list together for approx. pricing. Not sure, I may even go ahead and jump to a 6550 cpu. Just trying to get the bang for the buck like everyone else. Thanks for the input.
