I've lost the sound to my DVD player...

The sound to my games works fine. But when I play a movie the video works fine, but no sound.
Some have said to re-install my drivers.
But which drivers would I install if the game sound works; and I don't know which drivers to re-install anyway.
I have a hollywood plus decoder, would that have anything to do with it?
