I've lost count of the number of severe thunderstorn and tornado warnings that have been issued over the past 3 days

I grew up in Missouri and go to school in Oklahoma, I really don't pay attention to the warnings until the sirens start going off.

It seems like every few hours there's a new warning for my area. I'll surprised I'm still alive.

Same here.

One of the warnings actually hit me - flooding. Ruined my basement. F'n city story sewer is undersized in my area and backed up. My poor little sump pump hasn't had much of a break the last 3 days. It's gotten so bad they've had pumps on the street corners pumping water out of the man holes(storm sewer) onto the street to relieve the pressure on the system so our houses don't back up.

Sure glad I have good insurance... my basement needs to be put back together since I had to gut it to prevent molding.

Lol, my town in texas decided it was a good idea about five years ago to get rid of the air raid/tornado sirens, and last year we were hit by two (small) tornadoes. Go figure.

Now they installed a new system that is probably way more expensive than the air raid sirens, but they're vastly inferior. On the old system, you could actually hear the sirens indoors. On the new system, you can barely hear them outdoors.

But then again, a bunch of retards run my city.

We had six tornadoes in town last week. They were just baby ones and thankfully nobody got hurt, but I'm plenty sick of the weather too.
