So, you're website will one day become a source for links to health related websites, but is its preamble and title are basically patronizing to your target audience which will then feel alienated after being talked down to?
OR
Your website is geared toward mocking fat people and your demographic audience are thin people who desire to make fun of fat people, but will it contain a long and arduous list of health sites which the thin won't need to see because they are already thin and whose afore-mention short preamble is probably not cruel enough to satisfy this demographic?

I'd have to say you don't need modern web graphics, but a content rethink.
