I thought that this would be a perfect opportunity to send an email to Anand asking for a little coverage. The contents of the email are as such:


Hi Anand,

On behalf of Team Anandtech, i thought i would let you know that the RC5-64 challenge has finished, and Team Anandtech finished in 2nd position.

I'm sure many AT members/readers would like to hear some good news about the Distributed Computing team's achievements. Because of this, i ask you if you could do a feature on the main page regarding this project, and the achievements of the Team set up in your honour, because of the support we want to give to you and your awesome site.

The story of the winning key is provided here (http://www.distributed.net/pressroom/news-20020926.html), and there will also be threads regarding this in the Distributed Computing forum.

I believe that this is a perfect time to show your personal support for the entire Team, and write a front page article regarding this, and also to promote the teams bearing your name in all other projects.

I look forward to seeing some coverage on this moment.

This could be just what we need to fight back BBR and spring into the top 5. and once we get momentum like that it just builds and builds. A great man once said "more more more" 🙂 so lets keep it up.

I know a lot of guys on our team have said they were switching to set once RC5 ended so, it's looking good on the seti front along with all the other DC teams that are sure to get a good boost of power from this.

At the time when i sent it (just as i was leaving work) i didn't know that email address. LMK the address (within the next few mins) and i'll send it on over
