I just joined. Am I allowed to join multiple projects at once? And if I join multiple projects, will the work per project be decreased as I add on more.

Welcome to the TeAm!:D, which project did you join?
Sure you can join multiple projects, but then they will have 2 share the idle cpu cycles, slowing down the processing. :)(ChessBrain is an exception to this, due to the nature of the project.)

Welcome VIAN!

You certainly allowed to join multiple projects, we welcome you all the same no matter which project you are running! However, as has been said, if you're running multiple projects on one computer, then the respective work for each project will go down. This is of course saying that they are all on the same priority level. Within the "Low" priority, there are 2-3 "sub-levels" and some projects work at different sub-levels. This means that you may find that some projects "take over" others, even if they are both set to Low priority. Just something to look out for :)

Welcome VIAN!

We sure could use your help in the DF (Distributed Folding) team Anandtech!

To get an idea what it is about, check:
Distributed Folding Homepage

To see how we are doing, some statistics:
All Teams Statistics
Currently we are in the 12th place overall, some fresh muscle would help greatly!

To see what is going on in the DF project:
Official DF Discussion Forum

Look at the links above- and the related threads here at Anandtech forums- and see if DF would interest you!

Anyhow, whichever project(s) you decide to take up, Team Anandtech is a great place for support and has a good and supportive atmosphere!

Welcome to the TeAm, VIAN. Choose whichever project you feel the most partial to *cough* SETI@HOME *cough* . Either way, glad to have you and now that you're in, you can never get out ;) ;)

Welcome, Vian.

Another tip:
When you want to participate in more than one project, look out for more computers to add to your fleet. The more CPU's the merrier.;) A lot of our members have multiple computers running in various projects.

But, be sure to get permission to install the software on computers you don't own yourself. :D

Welcome Vian.

Just the fact that you are having the Computers do something beneficial for mankind when they are not being used by humans is a great thing. Doesn't matter which project. It does matter which TeAm you join (only kidding), great to have you on board at Anandtech (AT).:cool:
