MrWizzard, It "could" be the ECS board, but it "could" be alot of other things too. My brother has a computer with the leadtek 6800nu and the cheapo ECS 755 A2 and it works like a charm. He games about 20-30 hours a week and sometimes more : () and he's never had an issue.

Sorry for your troubles OP. I <3 my leadtek 6600gt AGP, but that doesn't help you at all...

It's true it could be alot of things that make the card artifact on boot. But the only cards I've ever seen this happen to have been my 6800GTs. I stick them into completely different computers with completely different setups and it still produces artifacts. That alone generally makes me rather ademently believe that it's the card that has gone rotten, since my 4800SE works perfectly in both systems that the 6800GT doesn't.

Seems like it's not gonna be until tuesday or so that I'll likely get approval for another RMA, if they even check their emails. They'll email me back asking for this or that, even though I provided proof of purchase, the serial number of the card currently afflicting me, and the previous RMA number. They don't seem to check the phone messages, or if they do, they don't do squat about them.

Leadtek is known as one of the best/most reliable companies that make nVidia cards...

So I guess it's just your bad luck.
