I've had 2 Pacus for almost a year and a half.

They were both silver with red bellies. Suddenly, one of them has become almost black. (Not quite but really dark.)
They both appear as healthy as ever. What may be the deal?

Maybe it's male and has reached sexual maturity---don't know a lot about fish, but I've seen some that will do that.

i agree with snf. btw, how big of a tank do you keep em in? i had one, purchased at quarter size, that grew to plate size in 1 year. got too big for my 55g, had to give it away
