This chair right here:Chair. If you look at the chair you'll notice that the arms are pretty much the sole support for the chair (you may not have noticed that but i'm telling you :D ).

When I got the chair I used all my mighty strength to screw the 4 arm screws in that support the chair. However, after a few weeks of my big behind planted in the chair it started to loosen up slightly, and I had to tighten the screws a bit.

My question for all you Tim Allen studs, short of welding the damn thing what can I do to assure the screws don't loosen up on me. Gracias.

Are these screws going into the chair or do they have nuts on the ends? If they have nuts, you can try lock washers for locknuts. If not, They make something called locktite. It will help make the screws stay put. Be warned, that if you use it, the screws may never come out again.

if i remember corectly all them chairs, say that after a while you'll need to retighten 'em as the chair "settles" a little. . . im pretty sure most modern office furniture is like that. . just check it every 3 months or so, but it should be good now

Thanks for the responses gentleman, this locktite stuff sounds intriguing. I've heard of it before if I remember right it will bond the metal to the plastic?

Oh and the chair has screws going into the arms. Seems amazing to me that the entire chairs structure is composed of these four screws, but hey the chair was only $99. It's comfy too :D.

The chair is junk.. go spend some real money big man on a good chair.

:) Nope i just think when it comes to buying a chair. You pay for what you get. Those cheap chairs from Office Depot,Staples,Office Max are just cheap import chairs that do not last. Go for a Global or Hon chair you pay for what you get..

Dude, just get some locking washers. Locktite is for windshield defroster repair (I think).

GB,
The locktite brand is attachted to a lot of things. Most often when you hear locktite it is refering the the various threadlockers they put out.
And Orbius, if you do try locktite, make sure you get the right kind (different colors signify different kinds) because one type requires heating to 400+degrees and a big friggin wrench to remove :D
