I've got the Broadband Blues !!!!!!!!!!

I signed up for Winfire and they go out of business before they do anything for me. Then I sign up with MSN dsl and they have completed my house wiring and I recieved the modem today.

Then I find out northpoint has been sold to AT&T and there just going to liquidate the equipment.

MSN says there temporarily going to suspend there dsl service til they can contract with a new provider.

I almost had broadband.

That is really the pits but from all I am reading over at DSLReports you should have some options soon. The worst case scenario is if Northpoint had the only serving equipment in your CO. Then you are hosed for a while. Other than that you can be sure Covad and other CLEC's will be scrambling to get a piece of the 80K subscribers left high and dry by this.
