For some reason, i've been given a SPARC (or something like that) machine with SCSI harddrives running UNIX. I'm a total Microsoft/AMD/NVIDIA drone (mindless majority of users ) and have no idea what this machine is .. let alone what it can do.

Can i install some other operating system on this machine? Win2k, WinXP, NT4.0 or Linux? Keyword here -for GAMEZ.

Are there any websites (for total newbies) that can help me out? Need one that won't blow out my brains with terminology..





Also was given a 10/100 24 port switch for a 2 computer network.. (not relevant but hey..)

maybe you can sell it ob E*ay, or donate it to a school for a tax writeoff (if you need one that is)
