I've got some shelves I need to clean so I can put things on them but the problem is I have no idea whats on them except some decon (rat posion) so I'm not sure how to go about cleaning this shelf.....

Latex gloves can be had at under $2 a box. I would use lysol.

I think the problem you have isn't with the shelf or it's contents, but with run-on sentences.

You'd take some cleaning supplies...

You'd get some cleaning supplies you need to clean with so you can have clean things but the problem is that you have to do work with some effort except cleaning isn't too hard (lazy bum) so you'd take the cleaning supplies and put them on the shelf and scrub...
