Gear Acquisition Syndrome
I wanna buy an electric bass guitar. :awe:
I've been mucking around with a home studio setup off and on for a bit, and I thought I could get by hammering out synthesizer basslines on a keyboard for backing tracks to my guitar.
Problem is, I don't play keys. :\ I can kinda wade my way thru stuff because I know what the notes are and stuff, but I don't have any sort of honed skill that will let me play parts with any kind of natural feeling.
I decided that a bass would be a relatively inexpensive investment that will immediately help me improve my composing. I've found a pretty nice-looking Schecter bass on CL that I'm gonna try to check out tomorrow.
Anything in particular that I should look for in a good bass that might not be obvious? I know guitar hardware pretty well so I figured there wouldn't be too many surprises.
