I've got an IBM thinkpad 600x

With 4mb of video ram I'm hesitant to go and buy an internal dvd/cd-rw combo drive for this thing. Burner won't be a problem I don't think, but I'm worried about playing dvds and if it will be choppy. Does anyone own a 600x and have a dvd-rom in it and can you tell me how it plays dvds? Thanks.

I had a 600e a few years ago (lower specs than the 600x). I swapped a DVD drive into it and it played DVDs just fine.
