I've got a 17 or 19" CRT...

From 1996 that displays at 1024X768 resolution, it comes with speakers and a microphone input and I was wondering if it would be even possible to sell this beast or not.

Sounds like my Proview almost, it had detatchable speakers and a built-in mic, mine was only 15" though, it's down in my basement. Still works, although the screen is now very dark.

Throw it up on craigslist, won't cost you anything to try 🙂

Sure it's possible, you won't get much though.

Maybe 40$ if it's a 19" and in good condition. My dad just bought a 19" CRT for 35$ at a pawn shop that specializes in computers, and they are an expensive place.. so...

The thing about selling CRT online is that the cost of shipping could equal the value of the monitor, or atleast make it not worth being sold.

Save it, use it as a back up incase your current monitor goes dead.

Donate it to your local high school. They can probably use it and you will get a deductible donation reciept. Better than trying to sell it.

Yup.
I just bought a 19" Dell Trinitron for $80 shipped.

$40 shipping & $40 for the monitor. 🙂
