If you do not need multiplier settings then the Asus A7M266 is currently the way to go right now. All of the AMD760 boards are good, it is just a matter of deciding upon the features you require. MSI and FIC make very good boards with Epox just releasing their AMD760 boards.
the asus is what i wanted to get until i found out that u cannot change the multiplier. Which other ddr boards based on the 760 chipset let you change the multiplier and don't have any of this integrated sound junk?
K7 Master has the multiplier change and also integrated sound. The only special thing on your case has to be the I/O panel. On my Antec SX1240 it fit right into place with the universal I/O panel that came with it.
Just disable with a jumper if you don't want to use it.
I don't understand something. Every place I try to buy MSI K7-Master reports it as having 2 ddr slots, but at Tom Hardware Article on it it shows up with 4 slots. Very strange.
My K7-Master has two sockets, but the MB has space and traces for four. DDR is very hard to implement with four (perhaps only the evaluation models had them?), so MSI probably took them out.
can you give me your thoughts about the board seeing as how you have it and all. Can you set the fsb in 1mhz increments? How do you find the board overall/overclocking,etc?
