Its rare that I dislike a food to the point I refuse to eat it. I pretty much like everything and even if i'm not a huge fan, I still usually will eat it.

That was, until tonight. My wife made brussels sprouts. I almost vomited. WTF - They were HORRIBLE.

Am I alone here? I guess it had to happen some day, something I truly HATE, but wow, that was bad.

Yeah, I don't normally find things I dislike to eat to that point either.

The only thing to this day I would turn down if I was hungry is mushrooms, fucking GROSS

I'm not a big fan of them either. But a fair coating of salt really helps, for me at least. But maybe that's because I would suck salt right out of the shaker if it wasn't seen as a "bad idea".

mmm... salt...

I, too, thought I would never find a food I hated, until I was invited for dinner at the Mauerova household...

Talk about poor taste...

It depends how they're cooked and served. If they're boiled they suck, if they're roasted or sauteed they can be very tasty.

You posted the same thing as me, didn't you? There's no such thing as too far, unless you're making a parody thread, in which case, yeah, there is.

I love them and it is because of the way I make them. I steam them a bit first then I sautee/fry them in part olive oil part butter, with fresh garlic. I cook them until they are crispy yet still tender in the inside. Lots of rich flavor. You can also sprinkle fresh parmisan cheese on top while they are still hot.

cut up brussel sprout & butternut squash, drizzle melted butter over it and sprinkle some brown sugar on top, mix it all up. roast for about 15-20 minutes. tasty.
