Man i decided screw it. I'm going to prolly upgrade my mobo in a cpl months anyway when the nforce and sis735 have it battled out. So i needed something now, so this board looks good and stable so i said makes sense since it's going to be replaced soon anyway. So anywho i'll let you guys know how it is, how it runs, and how fast it is when i get it in about a week or so. So i'll be the gini pig on this on.

I'm afraid you have to &quot;join the crowd.&quot; Mine actually shipped yesterday. I believe there was one or two others mentioning it also. But, the more the better. In reality it is my father's, as I am building it for him. Did you get it from 1stClassTechnology or the more expensive Newegg version? Others expressed doubt about doing business with 1stClass due to their bad ratings at resellers Ratings.com. I ordered from them and mine is shipped yesterday. Got the standard UPS email last evening. I am anxious to see what this does. Could be a good board to stash away and build the wife a new system later.
According to the owner of 1stClassTechnology, they have been swamped the last two to three days with calls and orders. He just laughed when I asked if it was due to this board. Could we be seeing the AnandTech Effect?? Who knows? I will start a post late next week, if all goes well, about this board.

Great! Can you share any info, hints, quirks or otherwise that will help us in our setup with this board? You say no problems. How is the speed? How is the quality of the board itself? What components does it ship with? Etc, etc, etc!😀
 
Speed is faster than any board out that ive compared to , except its a tiny bit slower than a AMD chipset, but barly. I have the 0em version, which came with a modem. Yours wont come with a modem. As far as tips, just max everything out in the bios, it will run totally stable and be the fastest it can be.
 
Ordered mine from &quot;CDR Express, Inc.&quot; $75 with S/H since they were the
only ones who would ship to Canada.

Wake up and smell the coffee! We are discussing the ECS K7S5A motherboard here, not Soltek. Go rain on someone else's thread!😀
 
If u want to read reviews on the Pcchips 830LMR, read those written for the ECS board, 'cos they're identical boards.
 
Yep the are IDENTICAL. Except you get a free modem and it comes on a brown pcb. No pretty box, comes in a bag ;-)
