Special forces is fun but it's not worth the price IMO, I'd wait until the price drops alot before buying it.

Yeah and maybe by then it won't be so hard to install and it will have the patches applied already so you don't waste 3-4 hours of your life just getting the patches installed and the game to run. Then be ready to buy 2 gigs of ram and run virus scans, defrag your hard drive, go to EA forums to read up on why this pile of junk game doesn't want to work on your computer....

Well it is enough...But your memory will be writing to your hard drive so you will get small "hicups" and a longer time on starting a map until you can even move smoothly. Everyone is advocating 2 Gigs for the game but you will be fine with 1- I was just on a rant after trying to get original game and SF2 installed and running correctly.

1 gig is fine for the regular BF2. Once u get to the expansion tho... 2 gigs is a must! If u have a quality HDD, u wont have very many hic-ups.

Very welcome :)

Sometimes in the midst of rants (though potentially valid ones) we forget to cover the basics.

It's a great game. It is very system resource intensive, and to run at better than mediocre graphics settings you will need a fast processor, recent graphics card, and would be better of with 2 rather than 1 gig of ram.

It is a fairly buggy game, but most of the bugs don't affect daily gameplay too much.

And for crying out loud, save your key in more than one place! I've heard so many stories about lost keys, lol.

Despite all the negativities I can't deny this game is one of the best fun I had on my computer. I upgraded to 2GB of ram for this game coz I experienced some lags on large maps with high graphic settings

It's very fun. Until the other team gets stacked with better pilots and your team has morons who fly Blackhawks with no one in it.

If you only have 1GB of ram, just turn the graphics to low. The game still looks good. End of issue.
