I normally park in an underground lot at work so most days I go from my garage to a somewhat climate controlled area and then back. Today though. Today I parked in a surface lot and its stupid hot and humid outside. I got in my car and thought my face was going to melt off. I quite like my underground lot (also great for keeping snow off my car in the winter)

Today I went to Home Depot,
Their shopping cart storage area is 3 carts wide and is covered, all the carts were taken.
A woman parked her car in that covered shopping cart area.
I returned my cart and left it behind her car, another customer did the same.:D:D

lmao that is awesome. I would have even been tempted to grab random stray carts and place them around the car. :D

So many years ago when I had my Caprice Classic a friend of mine and I used to play a game called "Cart toss". The goal was to get the cart to go as far as possible after hitting it with your car. This is also when I learned that hitting a cart at any sort of speed in a car is shockingly loud

Edit: Come to think of it we had quite a few games which involved throwing things. "Hammer toss" "Razor blade toss" "Printer toss"

People here started installing temporary shelters in their driveways for their cars. Great idea as it saves lot of time in the morning, no need to brush all the snow off. If you leave the windows down you also won't get frost inside. But of course petty complainers who have nothing better to do started to complain about how it's an "eye sore" and they got their way. Now you need a permit to put one up and there's all sorts of rules. I had thought of getting one myself but don't want to deal with all the litigation and cost involved with the permits and crap.

One loophole is to install a greenhouse, but they will actually come and inspect it, and it needs to have plants covering a certain percentage of it. Can't win.

Haha oh man an underground lot would be amazing. I've always had open lots except for when I'd park in the parking garage at my last job when they were switching lots.

I like to keep my four windows cracked to let some air circulate (not too much danger of someone breaking in; there's nothing there anyway except my dash cam which a thief might think is a camera recording them anyway) but I only do it when I'm sure there's no rain coming. Too many times I've done it and have gotten rain in the car and have had to run out and get soaked to put them up, lol.

I've thought about getting one of those things you put in your windshield to reflect the sun, I see multiple people have them in my work lot, but haven't yet. I think I posted about it here not too long ago actually. I guess I'd get one if they actually work well... it must only take a few seconds to put it up/take it down, hey?
