I've been sleeping way too much lately.

I haven't had any major changes in my diet, haven't been taking any meds/drugs. Last semester, and basically throughout my life, 6-7 hours usually satisfies me. For the past two weeks, I get 12-13 hours of sleep since I took off from work, and I have to force myself to get up. I go to bed at around 2AM, but can't fall asleep until 30 minutes later. I just woke up about 15 minutes ago. Anyone have any reccommendations? The only thing that has been different over the course of these last two weeks, is that I started to exercise again.

Thanks,
Kishan

i can't. I feel like sh!t when I get up, its like I could have usued an extra couple of hours. Then I realize I'm wasting my life away. Also, this much sleep can't be good for one who works FT and goes to school FT.

Exercise. You will find your sleep to be much more satisfying.

PS: f/\p f/\p f/\p before you pass out doesn't count. 😛

Oh, I forgot to mention. Since I have had off the past few weeks due to toe surgery, I have been doing some benchpresses, and generaly upper body work. Haven't exercised in a while. Do you think that could be whats causing it?

I would put money on it. You only need to do a little, like a half an hour cardio per day or every other day if you are pressed for time, to notice a difference. Working up a sweat does wonders for the mind & body but the thing I noticed most is it helps me sleep like a rock!

FT school and work...

you answered your own question.

Yeah, for the first time in 2 years, I've actually taken two weeks off, due to that toe surgery. I've either had school, work, or both, in the last two years.

I would be running on the treadmill, if not for my toe surgery. My parents have a bowflex, so I have been using that. I definitely do come out of my workout with a sweat, since I do 75 reps, no breaks. Takes about 25 minutes.
