....and I feel STUPID! One of my main rigs started freezing everytime I would run SETI. I figured some hardware bit the dust like CPU, RAM, mobo, or temps/voltage were FUBAR......so I started trouble-shooting. I even went so far as taking the system all the way apart and reloading Win2k clean. This went on for a couple months. This rig hasn't run SETI for like 3-4 months now because I figured it just could no longer handle 100% cpu load. It was fine for everything else but SETI.
Now, my dumbass finally gets the bright idea to just delete the entire SETI folder and download some fresh copies and WHAM....IT FRIGGIN RUNS AGAIN! Something in the client or SETI driver exe became corrupted! I've run SETI on prob some 1000 different PC's and I've NEVER seen that happen.
Arrrggggg....all those wasted days of 10-15 wu's on this PC!!!! This PC had flawlessly crunched about 5k wu's prior!
The good news...count on my for an additional 10-15 wu's per day for the TeAm!
lol
