They took my electric guitar, my SUB Woofer (but not the speakers hooked up to it for some reason), my Web-Cam, and tried to get my VCR but didn't. I know this because it was unhooked but not taken. Not too much stuff but enough none the less.

The thing is they only took stuff from my room (I'm 16) minus the attempt at the VCR.

This blows. :|

Nothing at all like being robbed. I remember the absolute rage when my car was broken into.

You really want to hit someone, if only you could find the right person.

I feel your pain.:disgust:

That really sucks. I hope you called the cops and they took a look around/fingerprinted the area before you touched everything.

Hopefully they will get the life that they deserve, namely being sentenced to prison with a 300 lb guy nammed Bubba for a cellmate who is into "cuddling" .

If this means you live in your parents house and only your room got robbed, then most likely the person who ripped you off is someone you know and / or have invited into your room at one time. I hope you get your stuff back.... :(

The day went really wierd. I got up, went downstairs (my parents already being gone) to see that my front door was open. My mom said she didn't lock the door after she left, and my front door has a habbit of swinging open when it's windy (which it was) when it's not locked. So then I left for school, locked the door (SURE of that), then came home for lunch (I live close to my school) and everything that is gone now, was still there. So I go back to school, lock the door, come back and those things are gone....I don't know if they came in this morning or what.

Edit - I live in a small village type deal so the front door being open for 45 minutes isn't usually a big deal.

Here's to hoping your parents have good Homeowner's Insurance.

That's about the ONLY thing calling the cops is good for...Since the insurance company requires it.

I've been there (my jeep wrangler was stolen twice), I empathize. Don't even bother trying to figure out who did it (unless you've got a STRONG idea) it ain't worth the aggrevation.

Good luck with the insurance, and sorry to hear about the robbery.

thats really weird man, any neighbors you might suspect, you know the freaky thing is that perhaps they were already inside when you left for school, unless they found another way to get in.

Yeah, I called the cops about my car break-in. They were like, "We'll fingerprint it if you demand it, but it's not going to do you any good." Talk about a waste of taxpayer money.

DAM,

Exactly what I was thinking. Which freaked my out totally from the hours of 3:30 to 5 because when i got home from school, the door was locked. It can't be locked without a key unless from the inside. So that's really strange...

Are you sure it's not someone you know? Very stupid thief, most of them would go straight for computer or monitor ( their valuable), so it's probably someone young.

Just next door in my Mom's room there are diamond rings sitting right on her dresser. VERY stupid thief. If it's somebody I know I don't know who it could possibly be. My friends were in school so I don't imagine one skipped off and came to my house to rob me.

Is it possible that your parents failed to lock the door this morning and somebody came in, then when they heard you moving around hid in basement or something? I guess they'd of had to for hours until you left again for lunch...

Yes, diamond rings and other things (like tv and computer) not being taken kind of looks like somebody who was not a real theif looking to resell but wanted some stuff for themselves...? But then why the sub...thats weird.

Well, I lock the door in the morning because I'm the last one out, and I'm 99.99% sure I locked it.

Edit - Changed 9.999% to 99.99% :)

I was thinking of the exact same thing. first, go to the police, but since the stolen stuff weren't anything too major, the police might not really look into the case. then you should go to the neighbors' houses and ask around if they saw anything suspicious. but being so paranoid that I am, I would let somebody know where I would be going just in case one of the neighbors turns out to be the theif and might harm you b/c they thought you were catching on.

that's quite a low confidence level.
Doesn't really matter because its so easy to go into house through the windows. Do you have bars on your windows?

Maybe your parents took all the goodies away from you so you can finally concentrate on your school work???
