I've been haxored!

Well maybe not.. but I got a "Messenger Service" popup...

Bad things happen when you turn Zonealarm off for gaming and forget to turn it back on!! Should I be worried?

thats the windows messaging service, if you aren't using it just disable it in administrative servies/services/messenger

The horrible linking is not my fault. I click the http button and just paste the link. I don't see why it would replace my link with some http crap... :|...

I haven't installed Kazaa since I reinstalled WinXP... Hmmm...

Thats because Kazaa isn't the problem. Its just some spam fvck on your network.

Disable the Windows Messenger Service and you won't get those messages again.

I guess it could be the WAN. I'm on DSL behind a router, but my PC is set as the DMZ (for gaming a couple hours ago).

Yep...that'll do it. It allows all ports through.

I hadn't been getting any of those popups...but forgot to turn off DMZ one evening.

The next day I was thinkin "WTH!?!?!?!"

not kazaa .. that was poor advice.

like the last couple of posts, it's the messenger service in XP. Those ads are so annoying. You can either go back behind your router and port forward gaming ports or get a software firewall and block that port. Or, like everyone else, just stop the service.
