Not that I need one of these devices, but it would explain why there is a slowdown on infomercials on products of this type.

You'll save yourself alot of trouble if you make sure to turn off your TV after 1AM or whenever you're done with whatever late night show you happened to be watching. Don't give those informercials a chance to suck you out of reality.

I don't Jerboy, I just leave my TV running 24/7; good point though :)

Yep.. You should definitely stop using the electro-shock devices and use magnetic therapy instead, while taking Body Solutions/Thermocarb/<insert weight-loss pill of choice here>. Exercise? Proper nutrition? Who needs it?

If I recall correctly, in order for those devices to have any effect, they would have to use a shock strong enough to kill you :)

I'm sure they work, but you'd have to incorporate it into a bigger workout. I wonder if I'd see any improvment if I did my regular ab routine with one of those babies on.

note the keywords the FTC mentioned...'We Think'. They have no proof. In fact, those do work. I havn't tried one on my abs, but when I went to a chiropractor, they put one on my back and it was like the best massage I ever got. When you exercise, you just stretch muscles. That's all this is doing, but w/o the work. Seriously, that article doesn't give any evidence whatsoever as to what could be wrong with them. Granted, I don't think people should get thin just sitting there. If you're a lazy slob, you should look like one, but I don't think that bashing a good product is the way to go about it.

I don't think so. If the hapless suckers who bought it paid $500 extra in Idiot Tax, then they got what they deserved.

They had a thing about that last night on some news program...showed a couple of trainers at the gym talking about it - they said it works if you have a low enough body fat to see your abs. Most people who buy that look like:

and expect to look like:

this after using it. I think I heard some of those infomercials saying you can lose weight just by using that so that is misleading but most of the time it's the user's fault

HAHAHAH!!! This is classic! My one buddy bought one of these things (he's barely even chubby) and we've been teasing him about it for months. Time to email him this link!!! :D
