I've been coughing for about 3 weeks now

Drink a sh1t load of water, like a litre or something, I think you've got phlegm at the back of your throat and it won't go away because there isn't enough water for it to detach from your throat/lungs etc.

Post nasal drip can take a long, long, time to recover. Some dextromethorphan can help lessen the violent coughing reaction (make certain you don't take a cough syrup with guafenesen in it, as you'll actually be coughing more!)

well, allegra and claritin are both non-sedating anti-histamines, and one thing anti-histamines treat is allergies, so...

it could be allergies, it would seem, but could be other things too. probably a good time to see your doctor and ask about this

Are you weezing or coughing things up? If so you might have bronchitis -- happened to me last summer. Was a real easy fix... 3 or 5 day anti-biotics regimine (can't remember how long) and oral steriods. Started feeling 95% within a day.

I'm coughing things up, but it's all runoff from my nose. My sinuses have been producing mucus and crap like crazy. Should I be worried? I've had this happen for the last couple years after I've had a cold. Usually takes maybe two weeks to completely go away.

if you want to relieve it, try getting some Fishermen friends...they're a cough drop of sorts, but they look like hardened/dried poop chips...not kidding. Most people hate the taste of them (i dont mind it), but they work very very well.

sounds like the usual symptoms one gets when recuperating from a cold, but if the mucus is discolored and/or you have a fever, then yes, worry 🙁 and see your doctor

What's discolored? It looks like/probably is snot. Just LOTS of it.

Meh, I had a lung infection a year or two back and was coughing for two months. The doctor was like, as long as you are otherwise healthy, I see not reason to give you anything, which sadly, I and my parents agreed to. People are given way to much crap these days that they have no need for. Also, both ?rents are pharmacists and my dad is a biotech exec so they were like, we're not going to support the overuse of antibiotics and allow them to become ineffective.

I?d still get it checked out though.
