It works the same on iTunes for Windows, which I used and learned before I bought my Mac earlier this year (BTW, Windows had right-click years before Mac did, so it is not a "Mac thing").
If I were put in front of an alien computer and was told to delete something, the first two things I would try would be 1) click and hit delete and 2) right-click and select delete. So I have to ask, what did you actually TRY before posting your question?

I would have tried first politely asking the computer to delete the file. Then i would have started typing "please delete this video clip from my computer" into a txt file. I dunno about you
