when i execute the setup it says its preparing to install. than the installsheild says its preparing me than the bar just sits there and than stops and an error message says "1607:Unable to install Installshield scripting runtime." i already googled it and it gave me the info. i did it all and i still cant install it.
 
have you got antivirus running at the time - or what other proggies are running when you try to install the software?

Try disabling ALL non necessary progs from starting up, then try it.
I am assuming that your system is free from viruses, malware etc
 
i have macafee running at the time, in system tray
it should be virus free macafee 98% detection rate
and i already have processes list cleaned out. except macafee
 
If you want a music player you could try Winamp as a secondary. You probably don't want to do that and I don't blame you but I'm just suggesting a secondary option for playing music.
 
Read the instructions to find out if you should have the ipod plugged in and connected before you install, or not.
