Itunes sucks at managing podcasts.

Its not deleting the ones ive already listened to, and its starting to be a huge pain in the ass to manually manage them because i have so many. any ideas how to make this easier?
 
Go to the configuration, Podcasts section. In the dropdown marked "Keep:", choose "All unplayed episodes".
