foobar and winamp both have plugins to load music onto ipods. Personally I don't bother though, I just use ephpod, a simple freeware standalone app to load music to the ipod. (disclaimer: I wouldn't actually purchase an ipod, but this one was free, so I said why not)

Never heard of that problem. Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling? Is your system otherwise stable? Any memory issues cropping up?

Haven't tried uninstallin yet...because does anyone know if I uninstiall it if it'll delete my play counts?

Otherwise my system is stable, I use to be pretty unstable with my ram at 2-3-3-8, but since I've changed it to 2.5-3-3-8, I haven't had a stability problem since.

bump

To be more specific, when it re-opens it appears to come from the system tray (bottom right near the clock..)

Playcounts probably won't be deleted, as I doubt the .xml file with them in it will also be deleted along with everything else. You can always back up those library files anyways then uninstall/reinstall. You should also run memtest86 to make sure that your problem isn't memory related. Some programs are more finicky than others when it comes to memory issues, and you perhaps could have stability issues that are hardware and not software related.
