iTunes question

Normally when I have a file in my music folder folder and open it, itunes will autosort it by artist/album into the correct folder. However, recently it won't sort the music. I have the correct music folder selected under preferences, and I have checked the "Keep iTunes music folder organized" box. Anyone? Thanks
