iTunes question

How do you load songs not bought from iTunes? I've already imported the songs into iTunes. However, when I connect my iPod it does not automatically download the new songs over to my iPod. Do I have to manually drag and drop the selected new songs into the iPod icon in the left hand menu?

Are these songs purchased from another music store or ripped from a CD?

I believe they are ripped from CD. I'm not certain I'm helping out a friend of mine.

Are there check marks next to the tracks? If there is no check mark they won't transfer.

Also, check the iTunes options....somewhere there is an option to automatically move the tunes over to the iPod. Make sure you have that set properly. Good luck.
