iTunes + QTAlt

Do iTunes and QuickTime Alternate get along well? I'm curious if this works because I use the iTunes music store, and want to watch mov files in WMP. Anybody know if this works?

I had itunes and quiktime alt. (worked fine) and when there was an update for itunes, I d/l'd it and installed and it got all fvcked up. Took a couple days for everything to work out. I just uninstalled quiktime alt. and use the bundled one w/ itunes.

I want to use qtalt + itunes, because for some reason, WMP won't play quicktime files with the bundled QT.

I cannot get quicktime installed for crap. iTunes installs fine but when I get to 'Updating Environment setttings' near the end of the quicktime install it just freezes. I've tried everything from downloading separate quicktime installs, cleaning out my registry of every mention of "apple", "itunes" "qt" "quicktime" and nothing. It really sucks I can't load music onto my ipod (yes I know I can use alternatives that would require a format of the ipod and I want my song stats).
