iTunes problem

Venturing a guess as to someone's low age isn't an insult. Maybe you think I'm capable of magic, but I'm not - I was young once too.

Messing around with Foobar's UI is just an ongoing little hobby for me, nothing more. How "pretty" something is is the least important characteristic about it, only the shallow, young & stupid think otherwise.

So why do you have a link in your sig talking of it's appearance rather than the functionality?

You're not "venturing a guess", you're underestimating someone's age on purpose in order to anger them in an argument. You know it, I know it, they know it.

I disagree with your statement claiming that interfaces are of little importance. Maybe back in 1970 when there was no such thing as a GUI and the only people who used computers were scientists, your statement may have stood some ground. Here in 2005, things are a little different. Look at the interiors of cars, microwaves, electric drills.... anything... interfaces have changed to be more efficient, simpler, smoother and usually more attractive. The same goes for software.

Perhaps you see yourself as some old noble at the grand 'old' age of 27 and are stuck in the ways that you are accustomed to from when you were younger, whether because you reject change or fear it through some kind of premature mid-life crisis. 'Stuck in the past' to coin a phrase.

I've seen this in many of your posts. I think you very much fear growing old and express this through anger at younger generations. Remember you're going to be even older one day and will consider 27 young and will probably think you were still young and immature at your current age. I say get out more and live life instead of hiding from the population that you dislike and racking up the post count in ATOT.

OP: Sounds like a windows issue. I assume you've tried a complete uninstallation/reinstallation? You might even want to go for a repair installation as my harlequin
-iconed friend already suggested. You could also try installing to a different location, although this is a bit of a hack.

Oh, and btw, I'm 22 and on my summer 'vacation' which isn't much of a vacation except for a change from school to work. I attend UW-Madison and will graduate in the fall with degrees in classical humanities and rhetoric. I have nothing to hide about my age or status in life.

You still remain soundly beaten, as you have neither provided evidence that Quicktime installs without user consent nor provided evidence that it consistently changes file associations without user consent.

If you have ANY valid points to make regarding your calling Quicktime malware, I'd be interested in hearing them. As it stands, you are wrong, and your incredible bias against Apple products is blinding you from recognizing this simple fact.

Yeah, nevermind the legal status of EULAs, when defending Apple no stretch of logic is too great. You've beaten nothing. Yet you ignore the fact that the requirements to install iTunes are not an EULA, but rather the actual requirements to run the product. You resort to yet another petty insult, but it's not unexpected from you at all given your past posts. Many other music players require their own proprietary software solutions to put music on the player, so you have NO argument there in regards to the iPod's 'uniqueness' in requiring a proprietary software solution. The great thing about that last statement of yours is not only the fact that it represents an absurdity as far as an attack upon quicktime is concerned, but it also represents your attempt to shift the grounds of the argument away from your falacious statement about quicktime being malware into another statement regarding quicktimes tie in via itunes to the iPod.

I called you a troll, which given your posting in this thread is a statement of fact, not the petty insults you have been throwing out left and right to those who prove you wrong. Given the fact that the quicktime requirement is stated directly on the download page as a requirement to run the software, the EULA doesn't even come into play, so your entire legal argument falls flat on its face.

I do enjoy your attempts to play some pointless age argument though, when your very existence functions as proof against your own argument. But please Gurck, keep up with the insults to those who disagree with you and go so far as to expose the misinformation you throw out left and right.

It's obvious he's the typical Apple Drone (tm) - Text. I have a lot of experience with them They're characterized by utter & complete lack of logic, inability to concede points even when proven wrong, rampant namecalling and character attacks. The above traits are greatly helped by a young age (generally college at the oldest) and media brainwashing; how can the image Apple so carefully crafts and displays to them on MTV be wrong?
