When I click on my music folder as a directory to be added to Itunes - Containing all of my music, 12,000 tracks ripped from an extremely large CD collection - Itunes will only load about 3,000 of the tracks onto its list and ignore the others. How can I get Itunes to load all of my music at one time?

Also, I can load all of the music fine into winamp. What's the deal?

Break the stuff up into different folders, with ~2500 in each folder. Then add each folder one at a time. Tedious, but it will get the job done.

Oh wow, what a pain in the arse. I downloaded and installed the winamp feature that allows sending to my ipod but I haven't played around with it yet as I'm waiting on the pod that Santa has.

It was new news to me that something other than itunes could transfer music.

hmm, before i had a clearout i had 15000+ tracks and iTunes didn't do this, have you tried reinstalling the application?

btw you can also use "anapod explorer" to update your iPod:)

IIRC, that winamp plugin still requires that itunes is installed....unless things have changed.
