iTunes music format

I just started using iTunes. Is there a way to burn/save music from iTunes m4p format to mp3, or wav format(s)?

The only way I know of doing this is the following: Go into Preferences, Advanced Tab, Importing, select Import using MP3 encoder, Burning tab, select Audio CD (I used a 2 sec gap between songs). You'll have to burn the music as an Audio CD, when it's done, the radition icon will say, "import cd", click on it, and it will import your songs as MP3s. Don't let it overwrite your songs.
