i'm sitting here in my school's library and i can see about 15 other people's libraries from within itunes - cool beans. i can stream the music from their computer, but now to try and find a way to transfer the files :p

same here!!! but i found out by having my itunes already open when i was at home and @ school went on the wireless network when i tried to close itunes it said someone was connected to me...

haha

i didnt like itunes when i put it on my pc... went right back to good ol' winamp 2.x!

well i use winamp 5 to play music on my comp, i just occasionally go to the itunes music store - i also need itunes to sync music w/ my ipod.

IMO...

iTunes is by far the best for listening and organizing music libraries. It's simple and straight to the point.
My only grudge is the music visuals...there's only one. =\

It'll be nice if there's ever a Milkdrop plugin for iTunes (does iTunes even accept plugins?)

My gripe is that it installs extra crap that runs as services: ipodhelper.exe and gearsec.exe. I don't need/use either, so why are they there and running? In addition, you can't minimize to the systray, and there's no way to tell what's playing while minimized.

iTunes is for ummm...TUNES?! Otherwise, it'd be iMedia

Does the network sharing only work on your network? I guess I may have to change the mac address so all the computers in the house will be on the same network.

:D change MAC address... PLEASE tell me if you find a way to do it. It's hard coded to each NIC. But I think he meant something else (IP address, subnet...?)
