Itunes/ipod volume question

I posted in software, but I dont think too many people read that thread. Sorry if its inappropriate to post this question here.



Hi all. I have several thousand songs on my ipod. The volume of a lot of the songs are low so I use the volume increase utility in itune and raise the volume on the song. I have done this to several hundred songs. My question is this. If I highlight all the songs in my library and raise the volume, say, by 30% will it raise the volume of the song I already raised, or will is itunes smart enuf to adjust for that? I dont want a song that was already raised 30% to end up being raised yet another 30%.

Itunes will set the volume adjustment for each of those files to the adjustment you enter. If it was 30% and you edit them all at once to 30% the increase for all will now be 30%. In short it will do exactly what you are intending to do.
