Itunes file burning corrupts Cd-drive

So I attempted to use the Itunes song burning function today only to find out that it corrupts your CD-Drive. The only known issue I've been able to find out is the upper registry bug which I did delete, however the problem still persists. My cd-drive will not recognize any CD's!!!
 
What is Itunes song burning function? some softwares?

If it damage ur cd-drive, delete them all in registry. Reinstall the software have a try, or reinstall xp.

If still have problem, maybe because of hardware error.
 
In general, software doesn't harm hardware. What may have happened is that it corrupted your hardware drivers. A commplete uninstall and removal, reboot, and a new installation should fix it.
