itunes covercover on ipod touch

I synced a bunch of albums to my ipod touch, on my PC they have coverflow artwork, but on my ipod touch I get a blank image. I'm wondering if this is because a lot of my albums ain't on itunes and I had to scan my covers and import them myself? I can't figure out any reason why they show up on one but not the other.

any ideas would be greatly welcomed

i deleted the songs and readded them, a lot now have cover art but some still dont. and when i add new music it seems about 70/30 that ill get the art. weird xp is clean install from a few days ago. itunes is latest. dunno what to do?

I have no idea. Usually if my iPod and iTunes are syncing right i will do a factory restore and just let it start from scratch.
