iTunes channel issue with Plex/Roku 3

I'm having issues with iTunes on my plex HTPC and Roku 3. I've posted the issue on their various forums but have yet to hear much back. I thought I'd try here as well.

The issue is when I play my music library back through the iTunes channel it will play for only 10-15 seconds before stopping. Sometimes it freezes the Roku box, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it crashes it to the boot logo. iTunes movies work fine. I've set the advanced settings iTunes xml file and allowed iTunes sharing to be enabled. I'm stuck now. This did nothing.

Anyone else have this issue?

my HTPC setup is:

i7 Haswell
GTX 860
Plex Media Server
Roku 3
