iTunes Alternative for New iPod Shuffle?

Anyone know of a good iTunes alternative for managing my iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen? I'm frustrated with iTunes because I can only use one computer to manage the Shuffle. If I take it to work, having put music on it at home, iTunes on my work computer notifies me that in order to manage the Shuffle, all music on it must first be deleted.

This is working as intended according to Apple. Sigh.

I've tried Rhapsody and MediaMonkey - no luck.

Try Anapod by Redchair. It makes youR [edit]iPod a drive like any other in Windows explorer and you can drag and drop music to it. It is paid software.

I've heard a lot of good things about Anapod.

Notmad is supposed to be a really good piece of software, so I'd expect Anapod (made by the same company) has the same quality standard.

Yes these are all excellent suggestions but do they work with the NEW 2Gen Shuffle?

Wow. As a Karma owner for years.. and the wife bugging me for a shuffle.. I caved and got her one... iTunes really sucks.
I just installed it today and I've already un-installed it.

So far Winamp seems to manage the songs fine on the 2nd Gen Shuffle.

I'm using this plugin:

Other than that, the Shuffle 2nd gen. seems really nice.

What kind of problems are you having with iTunes? Besides some bugs, I use Itunes exclusively as my mp3 player, even when I didn't have my shuffle 2gen. Its interface is and consolidated playlists/library are just so much more powerful than Winamp IMO.

I have multiple directories/drives that have music. Some are on other computers. I couldn't find a way for iTunes to automatically keep the library updated between more than one folder location, it seemed to want a single folder.
The browsing of the virtual CD covers was pretty sexy though.

I too am looking for an iTunes alternative and I have question about Anapod. Does it have to 'sync' to your 'local library' like iTunes or does it just allow you to use your iPod as a drive? I guess I can try it out and see how I like it.

I really hate how iTunes will periodically decide to delete stuff off my iPod which is no longer on my PC. Perhaps I have some settings set incorrectly... but deleted video files will last through 3-4 syncs and then suddenly get removed. I have to keep reloading my episodes of BSG off of my DVD backup.
