New features:

- iMix (listing of top rated mixes published by users)
- radio charts (from 1200 stations from cities across the US)
- music videos from which users are able to purchase music instantly
- Users can also view popular QuickTime movie trailers at the iTMS.

Other features include:
- "Free Downloads/Singles of the week"
- "Party Shuffle" dynamic playsists
- CD Insert Printing; Wish Lists
- WMA file import (of unprotected files)
- a lossless encoder for importing CDs into iTunes
- and direct links to the music store from playlists.

Apple also updated its user agreement, which now offers unlimited CD burning of songs with playlist burning now limited to 7 times (down from 10); however, Apple expanded the number of computers that are able play (protected) songs to 5 machines (up from the previous limit of 3).

(modified from MacNN.com)

I have never come across an application that I hate as much as iTunes - did you know that it has trouble with certain CD drives & ripping CDs? A laptop I was working on at work required a different CD drive just to copy CDs into the Library. Sigh.

YES!!!!!! I was hoping that it fixed the issue with my DVD+RW drive burning CDs (NEC 2100AD) that a LOT of people complained about over on the apple forums. I just downloaded and installed it on my system, popped in a CD-R and select the songs I wanted burned and it is burning them right now. YAY!!!!! :) :)

What I'd like to know is why do people on this forum hate MusicMatch? I use it and I have 0 problems.

Oh, why is it that MusicMatch gets awesome reviews? If the software sucks so much then why do reviewers praise it? I'm just wondering.

If someone can please compare itunes and MusicMatch I'd appreciate it.

It has to do with the level of control you have over creating mp3s. With most commercial products, the options are few. If you use EAC and Lame, you can change about any setting.

And when it converts them, it doesnt add them to the list, it just creates AAC files that it wont add, wtg apple.

Edit: it adds them, but it drops all the ID3 tags.. they were at the bottom of the library.

why, if you have winamp set as your default mp3 player, if you open iTunes, it then reassigns all MP3s to open with iTunes instead?? that pisses me off

Probably not legal! Probably not legal!

lol yea i don't understand why people purchase it when it may not be legal in the US.

because paying something gives peopel a false sence of security, you can pay 1$ for a whole album of 1$ for a song peopel will obviously do what is cheaper, and seeing as its not Kazaa peopel see it as legal

I use it and i dont care, im not paying for the itunes store because A its to expensive and B i hate itunes and dont wanna use it

i woudl just use Kazaa but my school blocks it, so i give allofmp3 my 10$ and download a gigs worth of mp3s

Make sure "Use iTunes as the default player for audio files" isn't checked in Preferences.

Man this thing just keeps getting better. Love this program.

Only gripes are that you can't go to the systray with it and it's kind of a resource hog, when compared to Winamp. Not that big a deal though when you have plenty of ram
