If you have an Apple TV and a 64-bit Windows machine, can you tell me if the AirPlay icon has disappeared in iTunes?
This happened to me. Searching online for "12.1.0.71 airplay" reveals that it has happened to other people too. However, my brother updated his Win7 x64 system and the icon did not disappear.
I can't begin to describe all the things I tried to resolve the issue. The only thing that worked was downgrading to iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows 64-bit.
I don't want to be stuck on an out-dated version of iTunes forever. I'm hoping to find another fix...
Apple doesn't have a way to report issues with iTunes for Windows. When you try to report issues with iTunes, their system tries to verify your Apple warranty status and requires a serial number. Ugh! Should I assume Apple will never even be aware of this issue because there's no way to report it?
