ITT Tech's CNS Program

i cant comment on the CNS program in particular, but i know people that have gone to ITT Tech and they have nothing but bad things to say. basically a horribly run for-profit organization promising false-hopes and delivering sub-par educations...

lets hope your mileage varies...

Yeah...I've never heard anything good about ITT Tech. Also, just make sure you understand that anything you do there is NOT transferrable to any acredited 4-year institution, regardless of what they say.

I don't mean this in a bad way, but why not ask this question before you signed up and sunk all your money into it? Personally if I were were you I would go and get a bachelors degree from a real trustworthy school. If you didn't want to do a full four year degree at least get a 2 year degree from a local community college with a focus in computers. That would get you a degree from a reputable place and cost you way less! ITT is on par with a a lot of these computer training schools. They call themselves schools, but they are just businesses trying to may money off you. I love the so called "counselors". They are sales people trying to take your money! I am not saying schooling in general is bad, but you need to look into any place you decide to go to before you actually apply.

Drop out, take the financial hit and go to a local community college for at least teh first year or so. Most CC's have good computer classes and are almost always accredited. Some even have agreements with in state 4 year programs that transfer credits one for one.

+1 on a CC...last time I heard a single class at ITT was pushing $1500. thats more than an entire semester at your local CC.

not to mention, the classes themselves leave something to be desired. for the most part, students teach the teachers and classes are so packed they barely have desks for everyone. the more people they fit into a class room = the more money in their pockets.

I have a few friends who went to ITT Tech. All but one dropped out due to the horrifically waste of time/money. The one that did finish is now doing his own thing, but the best job that ITT Tech was able to find him out of school was a position at geeksquad

I caught them in the lies about transferring credits. They said they could transfer to another college, called the college to check and they told me nope. ITT Tech was like $40K for a two year degree here and I quickly passed on their pushy recruitment campaign.
